At Kado, we aim to provide a secure, straightforward, and transparent checkout experience. This Payment Policy explains the payment methods we accept, how payments are processed, sales tax, refunds, and other payment-related matters.
1. Accepted Payment Methods
Kado currently accepts the following major credit and debit card payment methods:
-
Visa
-
Mastercard
-
American Express
-
Discover
Available payment options may vary depending on the checkout environment, payment provider, device, or other applicable circumstances.
All payments must be successfully authorized before an order can be processed.
2. Currency
All prices on the Kado website are displayed in United States Dollars (USD) unless otherwise stated.
Customers using a payment card issued in another currency may be subject to currency conversion or foreign transaction fees imposed by their card issuer or financial institution. Such fees are determined by the customer's financial institution and are not controlled by Kado.
3. Payment Authorization
Payment authorization and verification may be required before an order is processed.
Customers are responsible for providing accurate billing and payment information and confirming that they are authorized to use the payment method provided.
An order may not be processed if the payment is declined, cannot be authorized, or requires additional verification.
4. Payment Security
Kado uses secure payment processing services and reasonable security measures designed to protect payment transactions.
Payment card information is processed through authorized payment providers. Kado does not intentionally store complete payment card details on its own servers.
Customers should also take reasonable precautions to protect their account, payment information, and login credentials.
5. Order Confirmation
After a payment has been successfully completed and the order has been accepted, customers will generally receive an order confirmation.
The confirmation may include information such as:
-
Order number
-
Purchased products
-
Order total
-
Billing information
-
Shipping information
-
Applicable taxes
Receiving an order confirmation does not prevent Kado from contacting the customer if an issue is later identified with the order, payment, product availability, or shipping information.
6. Billing Information
Customers are responsible for providing accurate billing information during checkout.
This may include:
-
Full name
-
Billing address
-
Payment information
-
Email address
-
Other information required to process or verify the transaction
Incorrect or incomplete billing information may result in payment delays, failed authorization, additional verification, or cancellation of an order.
7. Failed or Declined Payments
A payment may be declined for various reasons, including:
-
Insufficient funds
-
Incorrect payment information
-
Expired payment card
-
Bank or card issuer restrictions
-
Security or verification checks
-
Payment provider restrictions
-
Other authorization issues
If a payment is declined, customers should verify their payment information or contact their bank or card issuer.
Customers may also use another available payment method to complete their purchase.
8. Sales Tax
Applicable sales tax will be calculated and charged during checkout where required by applicable law.
The applicable tax amount will be displayed before the customer completes payment, allowing the customer to review the final order total before placing the order.
Tax rates may vary depending on the customer's shipping destination and applicable tax requirements.
9. Fraud Prevention and Transaction Verification
To help protect customers and Kado from unauthorized or fraudulent transactions, Kado and its payment providers may conduct reasonable verification checks.
Where appropriate, an order may be:
-
Held temporarily for verification
-
Subject to additional information requests
-
Declined
-
Canceled
-
Refunded if payment has already been processed
These measures are intended to protect payment security and reduce unauthorized transactions.
10. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes
If you have a concern regarding a payment, order charge, refund, product, delivery, or other transaction issue, we encourage you to contact Kado first so that we can review the matter and attempt to provide an appropriate resolution.
Customers retain any rights available to them through their card issuer, bank, payment provider, or applicable law.
Nothing in this policy is intended to prevent customers from exercising rights available under applicable laws or payment-provider rules.
11. Refund Payments
Approved refunds are generally issued to the original payment method used for the purchase.
For eligible product returns, Kado will process an approved refund within 14 business days after the returned item has been received and inspected, in accordance with the Kado Returns & Refund Policy.
Once Kado processes the refund, the time required for the funds to appear in the customer's account may vary depending on the customer's bank, card issuer, or payment provider.
12. Pricing Errors
Kado makes reasonable efforts to ensure that product prices and other checkout information are accurate.
However, technical errors, typographical errors, system issues, or other circumstances may occasionally result in an incorrect price being displayed.
If an order is placed at an incorrect price due to an obvious pricing or technical error, Kado may contact the customer to explain the issue and may cancel the affected order and provide a refund if payment has already been processed.
If an order is canceled for this reason, the customer will not be charged for the canceled transaction.
13. Promotional Codes and Discounts
Promotional codes and discounts must generally be applied during checkout before payment is completed.
A discount code generally cannot be added to an order after the order has been successfully placed.
Promotional offers may have their own expiration dates, eligibility requirements, product restrictions, minimum purchase requirements, or other conditions.
Only one promotional offer may be applied where the applicable promotion does not permit combining multiple offers.
14. Order Cancellation and Payment
If an eligible order is canceled before shipment in accordance with Kado's applicable policies, any approved refund will generally be issued to the original payment method.
Once an order has shipped, cancellation may no longer be available and the customer may need to follow the applicable Returns & Refund Policy.
15. Payment Questions
If you believe you were charged incorrectly, your payment was processed incorrectly, or you have any other payment-related concern, please contact Kado with your order number and relevant transaction details so we can review the issue.
